The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has adopted guidelines for several woman-specific health services to be covered by health plans. These services include “breastfeeding support, supplies, and counseling.” According to the HHS Web site www.healthcare.gov, “Pregnant and postpartum women will have access to comprehensive lactation support and counseling from trained providers, as well as breastfeeding equipment.” The Web site adds: “Breastfeeding is one of the most effective preventive measures mothers can take to protect their health and that of their children. One of the barriers for breastfeeding is the cost of purchasing or renting breast pumps and nursing-related supplies.”

HOW LONG CAN I RECEIVE BREAST PUMP SUPPLIES?
Breast pump supplies are usually covered for up to 36 months after the birth event.

What are the advantages of ordering my breast pump through Hometown Medical Equipment?

HOW SOON CAN I ORDER A BREAST PUMP?
You may order your breast pump at any time during your pregnancy or postpartum. However, Tricare policy states you receive your breast pump and/or supplies in the third trimester of pregnancy. We will process your order, and ship per Tricare policy.
DO I NEED TO GET A PRESCRIPTION FROM MY DOCTOR/PROVIDER BEFORE I PLACE MY ORDER?
No, but we need to have a copy of your prescription on file prior to your order being shipped. If you have a prescription, you can scan and e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org

HOW SOON WILL I RECEIVE MY BREAST PUMP AFTER PLACING MY ORDER WITH HOMETOWN MEDICAL EQUIPMENT?
After all your paperwork is processed, usually in about 1-2 days, you order will ship and you can expect your shipment within 2-5 business days via USPS priority mail. All initial breast pump orders will require a signature from someone 18yrs of age or older when delivered.
CAN I RETURN MY BREAST PUMP?
No, breast pumps are a personal care item, and therefore they non-returnable.
WHAT IF I WANT A BREAST PUMP THAT’S NOT LISTED AS AVAILABLE THROUGH HOMETOWN MEDICAL EQUIPMENT?
Hometown Medical Equipment only offers the top breast pump brands and models. If you’d like another brand or model, please give us a call and we will check to see if we are able to get your model.
WHAT IF MY BREAST PUMP IS DEFECTIVE?
Warranty is subject to manufacturer’s guidelines for each respective type of breast pump.
